Top Five of 2012

Drum roll please…

  • 5150: New Beginnings, by Two Hour Wargames. Urban SF skirmish wargame/RPG hybrid, good for solo and co-op play.
  • All Things Zombie: Final Fade Out, by Two Hour Wargames. Live through the zombie apocalypse (or, more likely, don’t live through it). Survival horror skirmish wargame/RPG hybrid, good for solo and co-op play.
  • Goodreader, by Good.iWare. iPad software which views PDFs and other files (crucially, half-a-dozen at a time, in tabs), annotates PDFs, synchronises with Dropbox and provides the file and folder functionality that the iPad should have, but doesn’t.
  • Hex Map Pro by Old School DM. iPad battlemat and token software – not quite VTT, but very handy for solo gaming without worrying about when I have to vacate the table next.

Yes, that’s only four. This year, there were not enough new products that enthused me sufficiently to get into this post.
